Martin has concentrated his practice on alternative investment funds structuring, notably in the fields of infrastructure, private equity and real estate for the last 15 years. Martin’s expertise encompasses the full range of fund types in alternatives but also traditional funds across all stages of the fund lifecycle. He is an expert in investment fund regulatory issues, with an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the roles and responsibilities within the asset management value chain, the licensing, organisation, operation and governance of management companies with cross-border implications. Within his field of expertise, Martin is advising domestic and international clients and has gained extensive experience during his career working for Magic Circle firms and ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) where we was in charge of legal and regulatory matters. Martin holds a postgraduate degree from the Saarbrücken University (Germany) where he has completed his first Law Exam and has completed his second Law Exam at the university of Koblenz (Germany). Martin represents Praxio as a member of ALFI (where he is member of the working group analysing potential changes to the Luxembourg fund laws) and within the Drafting Committee of the Investment Funds chapter of LexNow, one of the most respected legal publication house in Luxembourg. Martin officially joined the firm as from 15 August 2020.
