Chokri has extensive experience in international tax planning with an emphasis on corporate and M&A transactions and on the tax structuring of investment funds, particularly in the private equity and real estate sectors and mezzanine debt (including distressed debt). Chokri advises on direct and indirect tax aspects of primary and secondary private equity and alternative investment transactions from original acquisition through to exit strategy planning as well as management incentive structures and on the structuring of funds management incentive arrangements. Chokri also offers international tax structuring advice for trust companies, private banks, family offices and individuals with connections in many different jurisdictions.
Chokri’s international career spans over various countries, France, the Netherlands, UK and Luxembourg. He holds a post-graduate degree in business and tax law from the Sorbonne University (Paris) in 1997.
Chokri is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He is regularly invited as speaker in international forums on international tax topics and tax policy. He is the author of various publications in direct taxation and VAT.
